Our Training Philosophy
All of our programs are based on a three-pronged philosophy:

  1. Our job is to help individuals take charge of more than simply their own performance. We work with them to build a leadership attitude of "I am responsible for making this work, and I personally can make a difference."
     
  2. The most effective learning is not force-fed. It results from the "Aha!s" that occur when participants juxtapose our new information and insights against their real-life experiences. Our courses are based upon extensive research and documentation, but they are not lectures. They are interactive sessions involving role-playing, group exercises, participants sharing experiences and thoughts, and "in-the-moment" coaching from the seminar leaders.
     
  3. True growth and change occur only when new information and insights are put into practice. Building more powerful professional "habits" of attitude and action requires persistence—and outside support. So each of our courses involves a post-session coaching component to guide participants' development.

EXECUTIVE ONE-ON-ONE COACHING

Interven Partners' philosophy is that in order for an organization to be healthy and growing, each individual must take responsibility for cultivating that environment. Our methodology combines appreciative inquiry (allowing the client to discover knowledge newly) and consulting (we are the source of information and council). This actually stimulates breakthrough thinking in the organization. Interven's approach transforms the mindset of executives into "I am responsible for making this work and I personally can make a difference!"

Executive coaching is a core service offered by Interven Partners. Our executive clients are successful in their organizations and yet, there is an interest and/or need to improve the results achieved with people and processes. This unique service helps individuals master the gap between the results they are currently producing and the results they are capable of producing as true leaders in their organizations. We've found that often employees understand management skill sets; and yet what keeps them from achieving results, is "who they are within those skill sets." By combining an understanding of the human barriers that keep people from achieving results with in-depth management techniques, we have helped companies develop strong leaders. Our coaching is always focused on the individual and is solidly grounded in creating positive change.

FACILITATION

Interven Partners is highly skilled at generating powerful "in-the-moment" dialogue. Because of this unique touch, we are often hired to facilitate strategy-planning sessions, corporate retreats, team-building workshops, and other meetings where clients must shift their organization from "where they are" to "where they need to be."

Based upon the discussions with top management executives and our pre-facilitation participant's questionnaire, Interven custom designs each facilitation session. In the actual session, we combine new information and insights with a process of self-examination and idea creation. As facilitators, our key role is to support the group in reaching new levels of awareness, generating new goals and possibilities, and moving to the next level. These meetings are intense, but also sprinkled with fun as participants interact with each other in new, unusual, and often spontaneous situations.

NEEDS ASSESSMENT

Organizations are challenged to compete at ever-higher levels to increase productivity, effectiveness and profitability. Interven Partners' custom-designed Results Needs Assessment focuses on key areas of change that will enable an organization to produce ongoing self-sustaining leadership and corporate growth. Through these Assessments, we are committed to:

  • Identify cultural, process, and individual performance barriers that inhibit organizational productivity and effectiveness. We have seen that it is often difficult and slow to have the actions of the people reflect what is needed in a changing environment. Our Assessment helps identify those factors that are barriers so that change can take place successfully.
  • Produce organizational breakthroughs. Given the rapidly changing demands placed on organizations by competition, changing market conditions, and the changing work force, incremental improvements are often not sufficient for organizations to excel. Our Assessments are designed to identify and then produce specific, concrete, and unprecedented results.

FINANCIAL SERVICES

Interven Partners has a 20 year track record of assisting startup and emerging growth companies to become industry leaders and enterprises with annual revenues in the hundreds of $ millions. We first perform a thorough analysis of their business plans and financial needs. We work with companies to refine their strategies, business models, and competitive advantages. We provide fundraising assistance and, in selected situations, make direct venture capital investments. We play an active role in our client companies, acting as coaches and mentors to management and serving on their boards of directors. We assist them with strategy, introductions and teambuilding. Our relationship with client companies is a long-term partnership. We have nurtured numerous companies from startup funding to initial public offering or other financial success.
